The Ansonia School Readiness Grant Program consists of four NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children) accredited sites and offers the following program options:
Full-Day/Full-Year Program – provides early care and education services for children 10 hours per day, five days per week, for 50 weeks per year. Children eligible for these programs must be consistently in need of services for a minimum of six hours per day, five days per week for 50 weeks per year.

Part-Day/Part-Year Programs – provides early care and education services for children who are consistently in need of services for a minimum of 4 hours per day, five days per week, for a minimum of 180 days, five days per week for a minimum of 180 days per year and operate within the public school calendar.

Admission to the Ansonia School Readiness Grant Program
To enroll your child in one of the four Ansonia School Readiness program sites, parents/guardians can schedule an appointment with the Ansonia School Readiness Coordinator at 203-736-5080, ext. 5143. At this visit, an application will be completed and the following items are required:
- Child’s birth certificate (certified copy)
- Child’s medical insurance card
- Income verification (W-2 form, 3-4 current pay stubs, unemployment form)
- Completed and updated physical/health assessment record
- License/ID
- Two proofs of residency: a mortgage or rental/lease agreement, as well as a Utility bill: gas, electric, water, cable, telephone bill; CT state document/unemployment papers) dated within the last 3 months.
- If applicable, an Individual Education Plan (IEP) or Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP).
